I've been asked a lot lately "what does great marketing look like?"
My answer is a simple one.
Great marketing is human not promotional. It's a reflection of the people in the business not the products they peddle It's personal, relevant and most of all it doesn't try to trick anyone. It paints a picture of what its like to do business with you and helps your customers see something of themselves in your brand.
Take the time to inform and educate customers not sell them, and let them get to know you.
In the absence of value, price becomes the deciding factor.
Do you understand what your customers value?
Do you know how to simply and clearly articulate a message that speaks to that value?
Can you deliver on that value?
If you can answer those three questions, than you understand great marketing.
